Hello Kidspace Parents & Staff

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Kim Kleeh and I am thrilled to be joining the staff as the mentor teacher. You will see me on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon until 6:00 PM. I would love to connect with you. One of the ways I hope to do that is through this blog. I will update it frequently and will post interesting seasonal information in the sidebar, as well as feature recommended reading and resources (check out my parenting bookshelf--most of these titles are available for you to borrow). I'll keep this first post short as we work out any kinks in the format, but please watch this space. I look forward to speaking with each of you in person. Thanks very much!

  1. We went with "The Switch Witch". This idea came from our friends that moved to Seattle from Boston.

After a night of gluttony, our kids picked out a few pieces of candy for themselves to keep. They put the rest of their candy in bags and left them near the front door. The Switch Witch came in the middle of the night and traded the candy for a toy. We played it up.

They seem to like the gift more than the candy and it's a good trade.
